A Nigerian lady, identified as Chidera, has taken to the microblogging site X to call out a short-let apartment company, Triangle Smart Apartments, accusing them of surreptitiously placing a camera in the bathroom of their rented unit.

The incident reportedly occurred in December 2022 in Lekki, involving Chidera and three of her friends.

Discovery of the Camera

Chidera detailed that after a day of activities, she and her friends returned to the apartment to shower and retire for the night.

It was during this routine that one of her friends stumbled upon a hidden camera concealed inside an empty tissue box within the bathroom.

Confrontation with Management

Upon discovering the camera, Chidera and her friends confronted the management of Triangle Smart Apartments about the intrusive device.

However, the management allegedly denied any knowledge of the hidden camera, creating a concerning and disconcerting situation for the occupants.

Expressing her dismay, Chidera shared her experience on X, expressing her surprise and shock at the violation of privacy.

In her post, she stated, “I don’t know why it’s taken me this long to do this, maybe I tried to shut it out and pretend it didn’t happen. But, it did.”

Chidera went on to reveal that they took the camera with them, only to find that there was no SD card in it.

She disclosed keeping the camera in a seldom-used bag, rediscovering it later while searching for something else.
