Sekhukhune United Keeps Close Watch on Durban City FC Midfielder Ben Musaka While Bolstering Squad with Key Transfers

Even though the transfer window closed a couple of weeks ago, Sekhukhune United is still scouting for talent.

One player who has caught their attention is midfielder Ben Musaka from Durban City FC, who’s currently making waves in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Busy Transfer Season

During the recent transfer window for the 2024/25 season, Sekhukhune United was quite active, bringing in several new faces.

They added Keletso Makgawla and Lindokuhle Mtshali to strengthen their attacking options.

Additionally, they signed DR Congo striker Andy Boyeli on a three-year deal after he transferred from Power Dynamos in Zambia.

The team also welcomed Namibia’s national goalkeeper, Lloydt Kazapua, following his departure from Chippa United.

His arrival means he will be competing with veteran goalkeeper Badra Ali Sanagre for a starting spot.

In another strategic move, Sekhukhune acquired left-back Kenneth Langa from AmaTuks, along with former Kaizer Chiefs center-back Njabulo Ngcobo on a free transfer.

To cap off their transfer activity, they secured Sipho Mbule on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, bringing the promising midfielder on board just in time for the season.

Musaka on Their Radar

Despite their recent signings, Sekhukhune United is still eyeing Musaka, as reported by FARPost.

The club reached out to the midfielder’s management in August, but initial negotiations didn’t gain any traction.

Nevertheless, they remain hopeful that a deal could materialize during the January transfer window.

Musaka might serve as an ideal backup for Mbule, who is expected to return to Sundowns at the end of the current Betway Premiership season.

So far this season, the Zimbabwean midfielder has participated in two out of five matches for Durban City, which currently sits third in the league, accumulating 11 points out of a possible 15.

Future Uncertain

Musaka, who transitioned to Durban City from CAPS United in Zimbabwe’s top league back in January, is in an exciting position.

As he continues to showcase his talent, fans and observers are left wondering where his career will take him next.
