At Ita Awure/Efon Junction in Ekiti state, the joint security forces apprehended around 500 armed thugs.
On Wednesday, January 25, at 3 a.m., the armed gang was caught.
The accused were allegedly planning to travel to Ekiti in order to sabotage the state’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary.
The suspects were in a number of vehicles before being apprehended on Wednesday.
The suspects are thought to be members of the Oyo State Park Management System, according to reports (PMS).
According to sources, the men were apprehended with a variety of weapons.
Items recovered from the suspects included guns, machetes, charms and many other harmful objects.
