SASSA Disability Grant Appeals: Process, Requirements, and Contact Information

How to appeal a SASSA disability grant rejection

If your SASSA disability grant application is declined, you have the right to appeal the decision. To do so, you must submit an appeal form within 30 days of receiving the rejection letter.

The appeal form can be obtained from any SASSA office or downloaded from the SASSA website.

In the appeal form, you must explain why you believe the decision to reject your application was wrong. You should also provide any additional evidence that supports your claim.

Once you have submitted the appeal form, SASSA will review your case. If your appeal is successful, you will be awarded the disability grant. If your appeal is unsuccessful, you will have the right to take the matter to court.
