James Wilkie Broderick, the eldest son of Hollywood stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, was spotted leaving a gym in New York City on Wednesday, attracting attention with a relaxed, shirtless appearance amid the city’s summer heat.
The 23-year-old actor and emerging model opted for a casual athletic look, pairing camouflage shorts with black cycling shorts underneath.
He completed the outfit with matching high-top Converse sneakers while wearing Apple EarPods as he made his way through the city.
Beating the Heat After a Workout
With temperatures soaring across New York, Broderick cooled off by enjoying an orange popsicle alongside a can of Diet Dr. Pepper after his workout.
The laid-back outing came just weeks after another milestone in his growing entertainment career.
His public appearance follows his recent modeling debut, where he participated in a professional photo shoot led by photographer Brad Walsh Abdallah.
Represented by Entertainment 360, Broderick has gradually begun expanding his presence beyond acting.
Balancing Modeling and the Stage
While modeling has opened new opportunities, Broderick remains focused on acting.
He is currently appearing in the immersive off-Broadway production This Lime Tree Bower, portraying the character Joe, an Irishman caught in the events of Conor McPherson’s acclaimed 1995 drama.
The production, adapted and directed by Christopher Ryan, is being staged by GoodBadGroup inside a Dublin-inspired bar setting at Quick Eternity in Lower Manhattan.
The play is scheduled to run through August 1 and also features Patrick Perih and Forrest Weber in leading roles.
Continuing to Build His Acting Resume
Broderick has steadily added television work to his résumé as well.
In 2025, he appeared in an episode of CBS’ anthology crime series Elsbeth, portraying the character Carl.
The guest appearance reunited him on screen with his father, Matthew Broderick.
