Round four of negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of India and the United Kingdom

The Republic of India and the United Kingdom finished the fourth round of negotiations for an India-UK Free Trade Agreement on June 24, 2022. (FTA).

These technical discussions were conducted by negotiators in a hybrid format, with some teams meeting in person in London and the majority participating electronically.

The majority of the chapters of the draft treaty were progressed for this round of negotiations in detail. In 71 different meetings, 20 different policy issues were discussed by technical specialists from both sides.

The fifth round of talks is scheduled to take place in New Delhi in July 2022.
