PTD intact, indivisible – Official

Alhaji Abdullahi Haruna, the Kaduna Unit Chairman, Petroleum Tanker Driver’s (PTD), on Monday, said the association was intact and indivisible under the leadership of the new National Chairman, Augustine Egbon.

Haruna stated this during a news conference shortly after interacting with the members of  PTD at the Kaduna Refinery.

He said PTD branch of the Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) had elected new leaders on Oct.

31 at Ibadan, Oyo State.

Haruna said that the PTD branch of NUPENG has four zones: Port Harcourt, Warri, Lagos and Kaduna, adding that 172 units participated in the elect

“It is on record that the former National Deputy Chairman,  Dayayyabu Garga had written his resignation letter since 2022.

“This is due to his election as she Chairman, Kanam Local Government of Plateau and had since been approved by the National Secretary of NUPENG,” he said.

The chairman urged the public and members to disregard any contrary information coming from any other source other than the recognised leadership of PTD in which he is an Ex-Officio.
