The inauguration took place at the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja.

During the event, Tinubu emphasized the importance of the Council’s collaboration with his administration in revitalizing the economic well-being of Nigerians.

Responsibilities and Composition of the NEC

The NEC is scheduled to convene on a monthly basis and has been entrusted with the task of advising the President on matters related to the economic affairs of the Federation.

The NEC consists of the 36 State Governors, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, and other government officials who are invited to participate.
