Greater Manchester Police want to speak to this man after a cash-in-transit robbery at an Asda supermarket on Saturday

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) claim it was a cash-in-transit theft and that the security man was’shaken’ by the event, but he was thankfully unharmed.

Saturday around 9:40 a.m., police were dispatched to the reported armed robbery on Princess Road in Manchester.

Police have released two photographs of a man wanted for questioning in relation with the crime in the hopes that the public can assist with their investigation.

The police are attempting to identify a man described as white, between 30 and 40 years old, and of medium build.

They claimed he was in the vicinity around the time of the crime before fleeing on a mountain bike with a silver frame.

As depicted, he wore a green parker jacket, a dark Adidas cap, black gloves, dark tracksuit bottoms, and grey sneakers.

No arrests have yet been made, and investigators are currently combing through surveillance footage and interviewing potential witnesses.

Saturday’s cash-in-transit heist at an Asda supermarket prompted Greater Manchester Police to seek this man’s interview.

Detective Inspector Kat McKeown of the GMP’s Longsight CID stated, ‘I cannot fathom the terror the security guard must have felt when the criminal perpetrated this horrifying and heinous act.

“We are aware that individuals in the vicinity of the supermarket were also terrified by the occurrence, and I can assure everyone that we are working relentlessly to find and apprehend the man.
