A twenty-seven-year-old woman, one Ozioma Orakwe, from Amatutu village, Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area, is now assisting the Anambra State Police Command to unravel the mystery surrounding the alleged murder of her cousin, Mr Martin Orakwe, aged seventy-five.
According to a press release signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police had earlier on the second of this Month, received a report alleging suicide on the part of Mr Martin Orakwe, even though Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim had a cut on his head with marks of violence all over his body.
The Police Public Relations Officer also confirmed that additional information shows that the suspect, Ozioma, a cousin to the deceased, had a disagreement with him which resulted to a fight.
The release disclosed that Police operatives have recovered the body of the deceased and the suspect has also made useful statement that is helping in the ongoing investigation.
According to the Police the case will be charged to court after a conclusive investigation.
