In a commendable act of philanthropy, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has donated N20 million to the Faith Foundation Mission Hospital in Nsukka, Enugu State.

The former governor of Anambra State made this announcement via his X handle on Monday, November 13. This generous donation aligns with Obi’s unwavering commitment to investing in critical areas of national development, emphasizing health, education, and poverty eradication.

Supporting Healthcare Development: A Strategic Investment

During his visit to Nsukka, Obi expressed his dedication to supporting initiatives that contribute to national development.

The N20 million donation serves as an initial contribution to the Faith Foundation Mission Hospital, facilitated through the Anglican Bishop of Nsukka, Rt Rev. Aloysius Agbo.

The funds are earmarked for the establishment of a College of Nursing Sciences, reinforcing the importance of healthcare workers in the foundation of a robust healthcare system.
