As part of the fiscal event, the Chancellor said on September 23 that the Office of Tax Simplification will be shut down.
The Growth Plan 2022 is referenced in the Chancellor’s statement.
This closure will go into effect when the subsequent Finance Bill obtains Royal Assent since the Office of Tax Simplification is a statutory entity.
In October, the office plans to provide its findings on the taxation of property income. The Office will keep gathering information for its examination of hybrid and remote working.
