New employment figures from the ONS show an increasing number of Scots on the payroll, and two million more women in work across the UK than in 2010

According to today’s statistics, Scotland’s labour market is still strong, with an increase in the number of persons employed and low rates of unemployment.

This was said by Scottish Secretary Alister Jack.

It’s also wonderful to see more women working; there are now two million more women employed in the UK than there were in 2010.

Having a safe and regular income is one of the finest ways to advance, therefore we are helping as many people as we can onto the jobs ladder as we continue to concentrate on expanding our economy and levelling up possibilities across the nation.

While our £37 billion programme to help families with the cost of living is providing further financial assistance to those who need it most, our Jobcentres and work coaches are available to offer support.
