The assailant, a vehicle for hire driver carrying Nice supporters, allegedly stabbed the victim outside the Saint Georges Bar near the stadium.

According to reports, the assailant turned himself in to local police after the incident.
The Nantes fan, a member of the Brigade Loire, the club’s ardent fan group, was stabbed in the back, leading to his untimely death despite the efforts of first responders.

Witnesses claim that an altercation occurred between Nantes supporters and drivers carrying Nice fans along the Cours des Cinquante-Otages, a main road leading to the Stade de la Beaujoire. Cars were reportedly shaken during the clash.
