Dele Momodu’s Critique of APC: The 500 Pounds Controversy
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Dele Momodu, has criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over allegations of not repaying a 500 pounds loan given to him by President Bola Tinubu during his exile.
Clarification and Reaction to Interview Versions
In response to the various versions of his interview where he allegedly vowed to support Tinubu, Momodu took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to clarify his statement.
APC’s Obsession with the Interview
Dele Momodu questioned the APC’s obsession with the interview he granted, particularly the part where he mentioned Tinubu’s support.
He wondered if receiving financial aid from Tinubu should equate to perpetual loyalty.
Dele Momodu’s Repayment of the Favor
Dele Momodu asserted that he repaid the favor from Tinubu in numerous ways, some of which he chose not to disclose.
However, one common form of repayment was through substantial and consistent publicity on Ovation platforms, with an estimated value running into thousands of dollars.
No Unconditional Support for Tinubu
Momodu clarified that he never stated that he would offer unconditional support to Tinubu, countering the impression created by the APC’s version of the interview.
