Introduction:
In an unprecedented move, McDonald’s has joined forces with Frank’s RedHot Sauce for its inaugural brand collaboration, introducing a sizzling addition to its menu, the McSpicy burger.
The renowned fast-food chain’s latest creation, born out of this hot partnership, is set to tantalize taste buds in McDonald’s locations across the UK and Ireland from February 7 for a limited six-week run.
The McSpicy Burger Creation:
The McSpicy burger, a chicken delight, promises an explosion of flavors with its combination of lettuce, Emmental cheese, jalapenos, onions, and the signature Frank’s RedHot Mayo, all nestled in a sesame seed bun.
Thomas O’Neil, Head of Menu at McDonald’s UK and Ireland, expressed excitement about this collaboration, noting the overwhelming positive response to the McSpicy since its limited edition debut in July 2021.
McSpicy x Frank’s RedHot Availability and Pricing:
McDonald’s enthusiasts can indulge in the new McSpicy® x Frank’s RedHot burger, available at £5.59 on its own or as a meal priced at £7.29.
However, given its status as a limited-edition menu item, the McSpicy burger will only be on the menu for a six-week period, subject to stock availability.
Anticipation for the Fiery Collaboration:
Thomas O’Neil highlighted the anticipation surrounding the collaboration, describing it as an exciting opportunity to enhance an already iconic product.
The aim is to create a genuinely spicy yet delicious offering that caters to the preferences of both McDonald’s and Frank’s RedHot customers.
The collaboration marks a significant step in the evolution of the McSpicy, which has now earned a permanent spot on McDonald’s main menu.
Sweet Treats and Menu Additions:
In addition to the McSpicy collaboration, McDonald’s plans to delight customers further with the launch of two pink-themed desserts just in time for Valentine’s Day.
The KitKat Ruby Chocolate McFlurry and Raspberry and White Chocolate Pie will join the limited-edition lineup, available in all McDonald’s restaurants nationwide on the same day as the highly anticipated McSpicy burger.
The move reflects McDonald’s commitment to offering a diverse and exciting menu to cater to various tastes and preferences.
