Don Jazzy Explains Why He Couldn’t Sign Davido and Wizkid to Mo’ Hits

In a recent podcast conversation with Fisayo Fosudo, prominent music producer Don Jazzy opened up about the reasons he couldn’t sign two of Africa’s biggest Afrobeat stars, Davido and Wizkid, to his now-defunct record label Mo’ Hits.

Don Jazzy, who co-founded Mo’ Hits Records with D’banj in 2006, disclosed that he couldn’t sign Wizkid because Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) label had already secured him.

Don Jazzy expressed regret that he couldn’t have Wizkid on his label, considering the immense talent and potential the artist possesses.

He mentioned that it would have been an “amazing” opportunity to work with Wizkid if the circumstances had been different.
