Marella Cruises has announced its plans to homeport Marella Explorer 2 in the Dominican Republic starting from December 24, 2024.
This marks the cruise line’s return to the Caribbean island after a hiatus since winter 2017.
The new homeport will offer three distinct itineraries, providing guests with diverse Caribbean experiences.
Caribbean Classics and Colours of the Caribbean Itineraries: The Caribbean Classics itinerary will take guests to popular destinations including Grenada, Barbados, St Lucia, and St Kitts.
On the other hand, the Colours of the Caribbean itinerary will include visits to Dominica, Antigua, St Maarten, and Tortola, with an exciting addition of Samana as a new port for Marella Cruises in the Dominican Republic.
The ship will then return to La Romana.
Expanded Mediterranean Offerings: Marella Cruises is also enhancing its Mediterranean offerings by introducing two new shorter sailings.
The Canarian Escape 1 itinerary will offer four-night sailings departing from Malaga in Spain aboard the Marella Explorer, with visits to Gibraltar and Casablanca in Morocco.
The Spanish Getaway itinerary will take place on the latest addition to the fleet, Marella Voyager, departing from Palma in Majorca and visiting three renowned Spanish destinations: Alicante, Almeria, and Malaga.
Additional Winter Itineraries: Marella Cruises is further diversifying its winter itineraries with six-night sailings from Marmaris in Turkey, Corfu Town in Greece, and Malaga in Spain.
These new options provide guests with more flexibility and varied destinations to explore.
