Man Attacks Stabs Estranged Wife 28 Times in Chilling Attack at Pizzeria in Núñez, Buenos Aires Before Attempting Suicide

A chilling incident unfolded last week in the Núñez neighborhood of Buenos Aires, when 41-year-old Sergio Sarria violently attacked his estranged wife, Débora, at the pizzeria where she worked.

The terrifying scene, captured on CCTV, shows Sarria breaking into the establishment, where Débora, 45, was behind the counter alongside her new partner.

The moment quickly escalated into a brutal assault, leaving Débora with 28 stab wounds.

The Brutality of the Attack

Débora recalled the horrific details of the attack, describing how Sarria seemed intent on killing her.

“He wanted to kill me like an animal,” she said, noting the locations of the wounds: her ribs, neck, face, and one eye.

The violence was unrelenting, and Débora even sustained a deep cut on her elbow as Sarria swung the knife.

The footage shows him leaping over the counter and charging at Débora, who tried to defend herself as he stabbed her multiple times.

Desperate Attempts to Stop the Attack

As the attack unfolded, Débora’s current partner and a colleague rushed to intervene.

They threw objects at Sarria in a desperate bid to stop the assault.

Despite their efforts, Sarria continued his savage attack until Débora, bloodied and weakened, managed to escape the pizzeria.

Sarria then took off his jacket and, in a disturbing turn, began stabbing himself in an apparent suicide attempt.

Débora’s Narrow Escape

Miraculously, Débora survived the ordeal, crediting her survival to the timely intervention of those around her.

“I think in large part because of the help I got… they tried to hit him, to get him off me,” she said.

Although severely injured, Débora managed to flee the scene and was later hospitalized.

Sarria, who is now in police custody, remains in the hospital recovering from his self-inflicted wounds.

This brutal attack has left the community in shock, as Débora reflects on the years of abuse she endured during her 23-year marriage to Sarria.

Despite everything, she is grateful to be alive, though the traumatic experience will stay with her.
