Get ready to spot a bit of Cape Town in the heart of London!
The City of Cape Town has teamed up with Norse Atlantic Airways to kick off a vibrant new campaign promoting their upcoming London-Cape Town flights, set to launch next month.
This collaboration is taking the city’s charm straight to the streets of London.
Eye-Catching Cabs
For the entire month of November, 40 of London’s iconic black cabs will sport eye-catching ‘Choose Cape Town’ branding.
Imagine navigating through one of the world’s most bustling cities only to have a Cape Town-themed cab catch your eye, urging you to plan your next getaway.
Alderman James Vos, the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, painted a vivid picture of this campaign’s impact.
“It’s like having a visual invitation to explore the wonders of Cape Town—be it thrilling ocean safaris, vibrant city culture, or exciting investment opportunities,” Vos shared.
Interactive Experience
Inside each branded cab, passengers will find more than just a visual treat.
There’s a QR code that leads directly to a booking platform for Norse Atlantic Airways flights.
What’s more, Norse is planning a special offer for tickets booked through this code, making this the first campaign with a direct conversion feature.
Vos emphasized, “This is a groundbreaking move, connecting potential travelers directly with booking options.”
New Flights on the Horizon
Starting October 28th, Norse Atlantic Airways will roll out its new London-Cape Town route, offering flights three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays—from Gatwick Airport.
Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO and Founder of Norse Atlantic Airways, expressed excitement about the new route.
“We’re excited to break the duopoly on this route, expanding options for travelers while keeping costs down,” Larsen said.
“Our goal is to make the wonders of Cape Town accessible to more people.”
Affordable Travel Options
Norse Atlantic Airways is also making headlines with its competitive pricing.
Tickets for the new route are reportedly the most affordable in the market, with round trips in Economy class priced around R11,000, except for peak December dates.
The Economy class includes a meal service and luggage allowance, while upgrading to Norse’s Premium class will cost around R21,000 for a return trip.
With this exciting new partnership and affordable travel options, Cape Town is set to make a memorable impression on Londoners and travelers alike.
