Messi’s Farewell to European Football
Lionel Messi, the football legend, has firmly closed the door on returning to European football.
In an interview with L’Équipe, Messi expressed his contentment with his impressive European career, which spanned over 19 years at Barcelona, and declared that he has no intention of making a comeback to the European football scene.
A Glorious European Career
Reflecting on his European journey, Messi stated, “Yes.
Thanks to God, I had an extraordinary career in Europe and won everything I have dreamed of.”
His time in Europe was indeed exceptional, marked by numerous titles and accolades.
The New Chapter in the USA
Messi’s future now lies in the United States, specifically with Inter Miami.
He emphasized, “We decided to come to Miami and it is a decision we are happy with, we feel good.”
It seems that Messi is eager to embark on this new chapter and embrace a fresh challenge in Major League Soccer.
Offers and Opportunities
The football icon also revealed that he had received various offers this year, not only from European clubs but also from Saudi Arabia.
Despite these opportunities, Messi has made it clear that he is committed to his path with Inter Miami.
A Barcelona Return Denied
Addressing the speculations of a loan move back to Barcelona or any other team, Messi firmly rejected the idea, stating, “No, no chance.
Not at all. I could have returned to Barcelona but it didn’t happen.”
This statement puts an end to any hopes of a sensational return to his longtime club.
Messi’s decision to explore new horizons in the USA demonstrates his determination to continue making an impact in the world of football, albeit in a different setting.
His presence in Major League Soccer is bound to create excitement and anticipation among fans, as they witness the next phase of his illustrious career unfold.
