Last Conversation Between Naira Marley and Mohbad Emerges

In a poignant development, a video recording believed to capture the final conversation between the renowned singer Azeez Adeshina Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and his late former record label signee, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, also known as Mohbad, has come to light.

Tragic Loss of Mohbad

The untimely demise of Mohbad on September 12, with his burial taking place the following day in Ikorodu, Lagos State, had deeply affected many.

In the aftermath of the 27-year-old singer’s passing, there were widespread concerns raised by Nigerians, with some directing their questions and scrutiny towards Naira Marley and certain members of Marlian Records, most notably Sam Larry.

Naira Marley’s Statement

To address the growing speculation surrounding Mohbad’s death, Naira Marley took to his Instagram account on Tuesday to release a statement distancing himself from any involvement in the tragic incident.

A Revealing Video Shared by Reno Omokri

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri, added another layer to the unfolding narrative by sharing a video capturing a conversation between Naira Marley and Mohbad.

In the video, Naira Marley can be heard expressing concern for Mohbad’s emotional state, referencing an earlier instance when Mohbad had contemplated self-harm.

Naira Marley’s Concern

In the video, Naira Marley said, “You said you are not feeling so anymore, but one hour ago you felt like killing yourself and you still surround yourself with the things stressing you.

The last time you made a video saying if anything happens to you, Naira Marley and the Marlian team should be held responsible, but now you want to kill yourself.”

Mohbad’s Response

Mohbad responded in a seemingly distressed manner, saying, “I don’t even know how to explain to you right now.” Naira Marley then pressed further, highlighting the potential consequences of such drastic actions and the public’s perception, to which Mohbad implored, “Please don’t be angry.”
