The Lagos State Government has issued a directive for all educational institutions below the Tertiary Level to commence classes on Monday, September 4th, 2023. This directive aligns with the Y2023/2024 Harmonised Academic School Calendar, which has received approval from the Lagos State Ministry of Basic Education.
Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, the Director-General of the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA), communicated this announcement during an interview conducted at her office in the Alausa Secretariat on Monday. She emphasized the importance of strict adherence to the resumption date by all schools to ensure the delivery of high-quality and sustainable education throughout Lagos State.
Mrs. Seriki-Ayeni also urged School Proprietors and Administrators to rigorously adhere to the Lagos State Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy. She emphasized the necessity for full compliance with safety protocols within school premises to create a secure learning environment. The State Government maintains its dedication to providing top-notch education.
