In a disappointing turn of events for fans, Keyshia Cole’s highly anticipated concert tour in South Africa has been canceled once again, just days before she was set to take the stage.
The R&B star had initially promised her fans an unforgettable show, but unfortunately, “scheduling conflicts” led to another delay.
Concert Dates and Locations in Jeopardy
Keyshia Cole was scheduled to perform at three major South African venues between April 24th and 26th.
The locations included Carnival City’s Big Top Arena in Johannesburg, the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, and the Grand Arena at GrandWest in Cape Town.
Fans had been eagerly awaiting the performances, but with less than a week to go, the singer’s team made the decision to postpone once more.
Management Request for Postponement Leads to Cancellation
According to an official statement, Keyshia Cole’s management requested yet another postponement, citing ongoing scheduling issues.
The request came too close to the event dates, and the South African promoters, Glen21 Entertainment, were left with no choice but to cancel the concerts altogether.
In their statement, Glen21 Entertainment expressed disappointment, saying, “Due to the latest request to push the date back once again, the promoter has declined to proceed with further changes and has no choice but to cancel the event.”
For those who had purchased tickets, the silver lining is that full refunds will be provided.
A History of Delays and Disappointments
This cancellation adds to the series of setbacks that have plagued Keyshia Cole’s South African tour.
Initially, her concert was set for September 2024, but unforeseen circumstances caused it to be postponed to January 2025.
However, another delay followed after the singer lost her home in the devastating LA wildfires, pushing the date further into April 2025.
In a heartfelt video message shared with South African fans, Keyshia opened up about the toll the wildfires took on her both physically and emotionally.
“The wildfires in LA devastated not only my home but also my spirit for a moment,” she admitted.
“I needed time to heal, rebuild, and be fully present to give my fans in South Africa the show they deserve.
Your love and support have been a light through a dark time, and I can’t wait to see you all.”
Looking Ahead to the World Tour
Despite the setbacks in South Africa, Keyshia Cole is preparing for a global comeback.
Later this year, she’s set to kick off her world tour, which fans are hoping will go smoothly without further delays.
