Katie Price Faces Arrest Warrant in the UK After Missing £760,000 Bankruptcy Court Hearing and Traveling to Turkey for Cosmetic Surgery

Katie Price has been facing significant legal issues recently, with a warrant issued for her arrest after she missed a crucial bankruptcy court hearing.

The warrant was issued because Price, who is now 46, failed to attend the hearing related to her £760,000 bankruptcy case.

Reports suggest she may have traveled to Turkey for cosmetic surgery despite being instructed to attend court.

On Tuesday, Katie took to Instagram to address the situation. She expressed her awareness of the seriousness of her financial troubles and explained her absence from court.

According to her, she was away working on a documentary about corrective surgeries and was shocked to see her situation make headlines again. Katie criticized the media for focusing on her personal struggles, arguing that there are more pressing global issues.

She stated, “I am doing the best I can to address my financial problems during these challenging times.

I’m not embarrassed or ashamed, and I’m working hard to resolve things.

My priority is to support my family and manage my situation effectively.”

Clarification on Her Health and Travel

Katie also spoke about her mental health and the impact it has had on her ability to participate in court proceedings. She mentioned that she had been signed off by her consultant for mental health reasons and was not fit to stand trial or be cross-examined.

Katie defended her choice to travel, saying it was a necessary break from her intense personal challenges.

She explained, “I’m taking my bankruptcy seriously, but my mental health needed a break.

It was a short, affordable holiday, and I’m not using it as an excuse for avoiding my responsibilities.”

Future Court Hearings and Legal Developments

Katie revealed that she would not be attending her next court hearing and had obtained a letter from her trustees explaining her absence.

She assured her followers that she was working closely with her legal team and was taking the necessary steps to address her situation.

Recently, Price’s property, often referred to as the ‘Mucky Mansion,’ was repossessed, and she has since moved to a new home.

In an earlier interview, she claimed to have resolved her second bankruptcy and expressed a commitment to never falling into such financial difficulties again.

Ongoing Legal Issues and Court Proceedings

Katie’s legal troubles began with her first bankruptcy declaration in 2019, followed by a second in March 2024 due to an unpaid tax bill.

Her failure to appear in court despite numerous warnings has led to further complications.

Judge Catherine Burton noted that Price had offered only partial cooperation and had not provided essential information related to her financial status.

The judge emphasized that the arrest warrant was not issued lightly and that Price’s lack of attendance was unjustifiable. Price’s ongoing issues with court appearances and bankruptcy management have led to a complicated legal situation that continues to develop.
