As the new football season approaches, Kaizer Chiefs are already setting their sights on preparing the squad for the 2025-26 campaign.
After reflecting on last season’s challenges, the club has announced their plans to head overseas for pre-season training — this time, to the Netherlands.
European Training Camp Scheduled for Early July
In a brief statement released on Thursday, Kaizer Chiefs confirmed that the whole team will be in the Netherlands from July 3rd until July 19th, 2025.
This move signals their commitment to coming back stronger and more prepared after a tough previous season.
Learning From Last Season’s Struggles in Turkey
Last year, the Chiefs spent their pre-season in Turkey, where newly appointed coach Nasreddine Nabi first joined the squad.
Despite the fresh leadership and three weeks of preparation, the season didn’t go as hoped.
The team struggled throughout much of the league campaign and, for the second year in a row, finished outside the top eight — marking an all-time low for the club.
