Fuad Kayode-Laguda Chosen as APC Candidate

Fuad Kayode-Laguda, a financial expert and public servant, secured the All Progressives Congress’ nomination for the House of Representatives by-election in Surulere 1 Constituency.

His victory came after the party’s primary election held at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, on Saturday, where he emerged as the chosen candidate.

Objective of the By-Election

The upcoming February 3, 2024, by-election aims to replace Femi Gbajabiamila, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, who previously represented the constituency.

Gbajabiamila was appointed Chief of Staff by President Bola Tinubu, necessitating the need for a new representative in Surulere 1.

Kayode-Laguda’s Candidacy

With Kayode-Laguda’s nomination, the APC aims to secure a new representative for the constituency. His expertise in financial matters and public service background positions him as a potential candidate to compete in the upcoming election.
