Mr. President, Senator Hope Uzodimma, the focal-Governor of the Nigeria Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones Program (SAPZ), has pledged the Imo State Government’s commitment to implementing policies on job creation and economic growth in the state in order to ensure the successful delivery of the SAPZ Programme.
Attracted by the huge agricultural potentials in Imo State by the Shared Prosperity Government, the President, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR has approved the inclusion of the State in the pilot phase of the African Development Bank (AfDB) – Sponsored Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) Program aimed at concentrating agro-processing activities with the state.
The key delegates at the meeting were Dr. Akinwunmi, Nasir el- Rufai (Kaduna), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Prof. Doyin Salami, the Chief Economic Adviser (CEA) to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr. Uche Orji, Managing Director the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) and Mr. Farouk Mohammed Gumel, NSIA Chairman
