Global COVID-19 cases cross 461.01 million

WASHINGTON, 17th March, 2022 – More than 461.01 million people have been reported to be infected by the coronavirus globally, and 6,439,007 have died, according to a Reuters tally on Thursday.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in December 2019.
