Globacom has launched a new brand campaign built around the message “Never Settle For Less”, urging Nigerians to pursue better opportunities, demand greater value and remain ambitious in their personal and professional goals.
The campaign was unveiled on Wednesday at the company’s corporate headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos, as Globacom marks its 23rd anniversary.
Beyond the new campaign, the event also featured the introduction of new and upgraded products designed to provide subscribers with greater value across voice, data and digital services.
Digital Services Positioned as Tools for Success
Speaking at the media event, the company’s representative, Uche Ogwuda, described digital connectivity as an increasingly important driver of personal and economic transformation.
Ogwuda said Nigerians who recognise the role of telecommunications and digital services in supporting their ambitions would understand the importance of refusing to accept less when better opportunities are available.
The new campaign therefore reflects Glo’s broader positioning around helping customers take advantage of technology to improve their everyday lives and pursue their aspirations.
Talkmasta Reloaded Brings More Free Data
One of the products receiving an upgrade is the popular Glo Talkmasta “6 for 6” offer.
Previously, subscribers received six free call minutes and 50MB of data after using six minutes for calls.
Under the reloaded offer, customers will continue to receive the six free minutes but will now get 100MB of free data, doubling the previous data reward.
The company said the enhanced proposition is intended to give customers more value from their regular voice usage while reinforcing Glo’s emphasis on combining talk time with free data rewards.
New Customers Get Enhanced Welcome Benefits
Globacom has also increased the benefits attached to its Welcome Bonus offer.
Customers who purchase and activate a new Glo SIM can now receive benefits valued at N2,100, comprising 20 minutes of calls to all networks, 2GB of free data and a one-month subscription to GloTV Premium.
The enhanced package is designed to give new subscribers an immediate range of voice, internet and entertainment benefits when they join the network.
Glo Introduces Magic Data Bundle
A major highlight of the product launch was the introduction of the Magic Data Bundle, which Glo described as a first-of-its-kind telecom offering in Nigeria.
The product combines a guaranteed data allocation with an automatic Magic Bonus Data allocation whenever an eligible bundle is purchased.
This means customers receive the data included in the bundle while also getting an additional bonus allocation determined by Glo’s predefined bonus structure.
The size of the bonus varies depending on the specific bundle purchased.
According to Ogwuda, the arrangement is designed to make data purchases more rewarding by giving subscribers certainty over the data they are buying while offering the possibility of additional bonus data.
Magic Bundles Start From N1,600
The Magic Data Bundle is available at two price points of N1,600 and N3,500.
Depending on the selected bundle, subscribers can receive Magic Bonus allocations ranging from 500MB to 12GB.
Customers can purchase the bundles through the Glo Café app or by dialling *312# on their Glo lines.
Glo Café Gets a Revamp
The company also showcased its revamped self-service platform, New Glo Café, as part of its latest product lineup.
The updated platform is intended to provide customers with easier access to Glo’s services and offers, including the ability to purchase the newly introduced Magic Data Bundles.
The move further highlights the growing importance of digital self-service channels as telecom operators seek to make it easier for subscribers to manage their accounts and access products without relying entirely on traditional customer-service channels.
Anniversary Campaign Signals Glo’s Next Phase
The launch comes as Globacom celebrates 23 years of operations in Nigeria, giving the company an opportunity to combine its anniversary activities with a fresh brand message and a broader product push.
With “Never Settle For Less”, Glo is seeking to turn its anniversary campaign into a wider call for Nigerians to pursue greater value and use digital connectivity as a tool for achieving their ambitions.
The new and upgraded offerings also place greater emphasis on rewards, additional data and digital access as competition within Nigeria’s telecommunications market continues to intensify.
What’s Next?
The success of the campaign will likely depend on how effectively Glo translates its new brand promise into everyday customer experiences.
With Talkmasta Reloaded, the enhanced Welcome Bonus, Magic Data Bundles and the revamped Glo Café platform now forming part of the company’s latest offering, subscribers will be watching to see whether the additional value is sustained and expanded in the months ahead.
