Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar Mourns the Passing of Ohinoyi of Ebiraland

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has conveyed his sorrow at the demise of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr. Abdulraham Ado Ibrahim. The Ohinoyi passed away peacefully in the early hours of Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the age of 94.

His passing occurred around 2 a.m. at a hospital in Abuja, and preparations are underway to transfer his remains to Okene for his final resting place.

In a statement posted via his social media handle on Sunday, Atiku expressed his grief at the loss of the revered monarch, noting that the Ohinoyi played a crucial role in upholding traditional customs and served as an inspiration to his people.

His passing is particularly poignant during a time of national crisis when his guidance would have been invaluable.

As the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku extended his condolences to the Ebira community, as well as the government and people of Kogi State, in recognition of their shared loss.

He conveyed his heartfelt wishes that Allah, the most compassionate and merciful, would grant the late Ohinoyi forgiveness and eternal peace in paradise.
