Fans Question Whether Martha Stewart Edited Her Vacation Photo After Spotting Missing Hand in Namibia

Martha Stewart, the 83-year-old lifestyle mogul, is facing accusations of photo manipulation after fans noticed something strange in one of her vacation photos.

The homemaking expert spent her Christmas in Namibia, sharing glimpses of her African adventure with her 2.5 million followers on Instagram.

However, a particular picture posted on Monday raised eyebrows due to an odd detail—Martha’s left hand appeared to be missing.

Fans Question the Mysterious Disappearing Hand

In the photo, Martha posed next to some rock formations in western Namibia, wearing loose-fitting khaki pants and a matching long-sleeve top by designer Suzie Kondi.

With one hand in her pocket and the other placed against the rock, fans quickly pointed out that her left hand seemed to be absent.

“Martha, your hand…” one user wrote, while others echoed the same concern, asking, “Where is your left hand?” and “I think Martha is missing a hand.”

Some even accused the star of using Photoshop, with one comment saying, “NO left hand/arm?? Photoshop. Shame.”

Another user simply described the missing appendage as a “mysterious” part of the image.

A Few Defend Martha, Suggesting an Optical Illusion

Despite the accusations, many fans defended Martha, suggesting that the hand wasn’t edited out, but rather hidden behind the rock formation she was leaning on.

“It’s behind the rock,” one person explained, while another pointed out that the rock’s placement created a cool optical illusion, making it seem as though her hand wasn’t visible.

Martha’s Namibia Adventure Continues

In addition to the puzzling photo, Martha shared more of her adventure in Namibia, including a helicopter ride over the Skeleton Coast.

She described the breathtaking view from above, saying, “We spent two hours touring the west coast of Namibia flying low over beautiful terrain quite populated with elephant, giraffe, seals, flamingos, even lions!” She also marveled at the sandcastles and unique rock formations in the area.

New Year’s Message and Reflections on 2024

Martha also took to Instagram to wish her followers a happy new year.

Back in New York City, she posted a close-up shot of several caviar containers, thanking her followers and sharing her excitement for 2025.

“Happy New Year to all of you and thank you for a very great year 2024 and hopefully an even better 2025,” she wrote.

Fans were quick to send their well-wishes, with one follower calling her a “queen” and others wishing her continued health and happiness in the new year.

Martha’s social media presence continues to capture the attention of her fans, whether it’s showcasing her travels, her culinary adventures, or the occasional mystery photo.
