In a shocking incident reported by TDPel Media, Sesan Adelabu, the owner of Emirate petroleum, allegedly killed his wife, Bolu Adelabu, with a machete.
The incident, which occurred in Ondo state, is said to have been triggered by the husband catching his wife in a compromising situation with their houseboy from Akwa Ibom on their matrimonial bed.
Grisly Details Emerge: A Crime of Passion
Following the alleged discovery, Adelabu, known as Emirate due to his retail outlet’s name, reportedly took a drastic step.
He ended his own life by consuming a poisonous substance, suspected to be an insecticide.
The gory details include the wife’s body found on the bed with multiple machete cuts to her head and face, suggesting a crime of passion.
Police Involvement: Distress Call Leads to Grim Discovery
The involvement of law enforcement came to light when the Special Protection Unit officer from the A Division Station in Akure, attached to Adelabu’s residence, received a distress call from the deceased’s son.
The son had been unable to reach his father, prompting concern.
Upon arriving at the scene, the officer found Adelabu lifeless in the toilet and the wife’s body on the bed, initiating a police investigation.

A news release from the spokesperson of the Ondo State Police Command, SP ‘Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, officially confirmed the tragic incident.
The State Commissioner of Police, Abayomi Oladipo, has reportedly ordered the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department to take charge of the case.
