Lawyer Timothy Tugbiyele has urged the singer to apologise, arguing that Davido should have avoided responding to the governor in such a manner.

Professional membership and certification should not automatically determine whether a civil servant can secure an appointment, promotion or career progression, according to a decision by the National Council on Establishments.
The council said professional qualifications should primarily support professional competence, ethical standards and continuing development rather than becoming automatic barriers to career advancement.
However, the decision does not override professional requirements explicitly contained in approved schemes of service.
The council also approved a Harmonised Entry Point Framework and established new cadres for Paramedics Assistants and Paramedics Technicians as part of its latest decisions affecting the public service.
