If you thought Dave Portnoy only dominated the world of sports media and pizza reviews, think again—he’s now made his way into the world of animation! The Barstool Sports president recently popped up in an episode of Fox’s hit adult cartoon, Family Guy, adding yet another unexpected twist to his ever-growing media presence.
Portnoy’s Cartoon Cameo on Family Guy
According to the account “This Day in Barstool Sports,” Portnoy made a brief animated appearance in a recent episode of Family Guy.
A screenshot from the show reveals him standing outside the iconic Griffin family home, accompanied by a cameraman.
In true Portnoy fashion, he’s seen trying a pizza made by Stewie and Chris, a clear nod to his famous “One Bite” pizza review series.
However, while the animated version of Portnoy looked spot-on, fans quickly noticed that his voice was not actually used in the episode.
Despite that, the cameo still generated buzz among Barstool fans and Family Guy enthusiasts alike.
March Madness and a Massive Bet on Michigan
When he’s not making surprise TV appearances, Portnoy is keeping himself busy with March Madness—and this year, he’s riding high on his alma mater, Michigan.
The Wolverines have been delivering some solid performances, first fending off UC San Diego in a close matchup and then cruising past Texas A&M in a dominant win.
Never one to shy away from a high-stakes gamble, Portnoy put down a jaw-dropping $10,000 bet on Michigan to win the national championship.
With 80-1 odds, that wager could net him an insane $810,000 payout if the Wolverines pull off the ultimate victory.
Calling Out the Sportsbook Over the Odds
Portnoy, known for his unfiltered takes, didn’t hold back when reacting to the bet.
Taking to social media, he called out DraftKings, the sportsbook where he placed his wager.
“Am I the insane one, or is [DraftKings] insane?” he wrote. “80-1 and we’re locked into the Sweet 16, playing great basketball!”
But the road ahead won’t be easy. Michigan now faces a major test against No. 1 overall seed, Auburn, a team widely expected to go deep in the tournament.
Will Portnoy’s massive bet pay off, or is he about to watch his championship dreams (and cash) go up in flames? One thing’s for sure—win or lose, he’ll be making headlines either way.
