After months of silence, comedian Lucy Beaumont has opened up about her separation from fellow comedian Jon Richardson.

“We sat in a falafel bar, and as the night wore on, things started feeling more dangerous.
A gang showed up, and one of them got stabbed right in front of us. Jon, completely emotionless, continued eating his falafel,” she shared, laughing at his stubbornness and refusal to acknowledge the danger they were in.

Interestingly, Lucy’s witty take on her marriage had been on display well before their separation.
In a resurfaced clip from 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, she humorously hinted that her marriage might not be built to last.
When asked by host Jimmy Carr why she had settled with Jon, she replied, “I don’t see this for life. It’s more of a season, a reason, or a lifetime situation.”
