At Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, a woman from Entebbe, Uganda, was apprehended in an astonishing turn of events after authorities discovered nearly a kilogram of cocaine hidden beneath her wig.

Identified through a trap set by the Mumbai zonal unit of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), the woman was found carrying 890 grams of cocaine, valued at around £844,699.

DRI officials highlighted that previous instances of drug concealment methods included hiding contraband in items like sanitary pads, whisky bottles containing liquid cocaine, and even concealing cocaine in moisturizer bottles.

The detained woman was found to have hidden cocaine not only in her wig but also in her bra.

Legal Action and Investigation

Under the purview of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985, authorities seized the drugs, and the woman remains in custody as investigations unfold.
