City of Tshwane announces nine-hour water supply interruption for maintenance at Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Plant on 3 March

Residents in parts of Tshwane will experience a temporary water shutdown on Monday, 3 March, due to scheduled maintenance at the Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Plant.

The interruption will last for nine hours, beginning at 8:00 and expected to end by 17:00, as the City carries out important work to install a new valve in the Ekandustria Reservoir system.

The City of Tshwane has informed residents that several areas will be impacted by the water supply interruption. Specifically, the following locations will experience disruptions in water supply:

• Bronkhorstspruit Town
• Ekandustria
• Ekangala
• Rethabiseng
• Riamapark
• Zithobeni
• Thembisile Hani Local Municipality (which receives cross-border water supply)
