Minister David Umahi Urges Presidential Candidates and Supporters to Leave President Tinubu Alone

Minister Umahi Appeals for Respect Towards President Tinubu

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has made a plea to the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, along with their supporters, to refrain from scrutinizing President Bola Tinubu’s academic history at the Chicago State University.

Umahi emphasized that there is no need for such examination, as President Tinubu has demonstrated exceptional performance in all his public service appointments.

Umahi Praises President Tinubu’s Distinguished Record

Former Ebonyi State Governor, Umahi, went on to commend President Tinubu as an “A student” in his public service roles and took a subtle dig at Atiku and Obi, highlighting that they presented WAEC certificates.

Minister Urges Respect for President Tinubu as Nigeria’s “Last Hope”

Umahi called on both presidential candidates and their supporters to show respect to President Tinubu, as he is perceived as the “last hope” for Nigeria.

He stressed the importance of supporting President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda for the country.

Minister Umahi Addresses State Controllers of Works

During the unveiling of his policy direction for the Ministry, Minister Umahi also turned his attention to some State Controllers of Works, accusing them of not fulfilling their duties effectively.

He urged these individuals to improve their performance or risk losing their jobs.

Acknowledgment of Exceptional Performance in the South West

Umahi noted that the Director in the South West and his team have been exceptional in their roles and have performed creditably well.
