Celebrities Turn to Micro-Dosing with Weight-Loss Injections Ahead of Oscars to Fit into Designer Gowns

Every year, as the Academy Awards approach, Hollywood’s A-list stars go to great lengths to ensure they look their absolute best on the red carpet.

Intense workout routines, skin treatments, and even Botox are some of the usual tricks up their sleeves.

But this year, there’s a new trend that’s making waves – micro-dosing with popular weight-loss injections.

What is Micro-Dosing with Weight-Loss Injections?

The trend involves celebrities using small doses of prescription weight-loss medications like Wegovy and Ozempic.

These drugs, which were originally developed for patients with type 2 diabetes, help with weight loss by reducing appetite.

The idea is to lose just enough weight to fit perfectly into a designer gown without overdoing it and appearing too thin or unhealthy.

Dr. Babak Azizzadeh, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, explained that the goal is to lose a few pounds for a more flattering fit in their outfits.

“Celebrities use these medications to lose a few pounds and fit into an outfit and not look puffy,” he said.

Medical Experts Warn Against Micro-Dosing with Ozempic and Wegovy

While these weight-loss injections may seem like a quick fix for some, medical professionals are raising concerns.

Originally intended for obese patients, these drugs can have serious side effects, especially when used outside of their prescribed purpose.

Dr. Kelly Killeen, a plastic surgeon, shared her concerns, saying, “Until we can be assured that bouncing on and off these medicines is not causing people harm, I don’t support it.”

There’s a growing fear that the use of these powerful medications in such an unregulated way could have long-term health risks.

Is Micro-Dosing with Weight-Loss Injections Safe?

While the trend continues to gain popularity in Hollywood, many doctors are urging caution.

They stress that, although micro-dosing might help with short-term weight loss, the long-term effects of using these drugs in such an unconventional way remain unclear.

As the Oscars draw near, it’s clear that the pursuit of perfection on the red carpet is pushing some stars to explore new, and potentially risky, methods of weight loss.
