Bybit is expanding the ways its customers can use digital assets outside its exchange through a new partnership with crypto payments network Mesh.
The agreement brings Bybit Pay into Mesh’s network of more than 300 wallets and exchanges, allowing Bybit users to use assets held in their Bybit accounts to fund accounts and make payments on platforms that support Mesh.
The partnership is designed to make crypto payments more straightforward by eliminating several steps that users often face when spending assets held on an exchange.
Users can pay directly from their Bybit balances
Under the integration, Bybit customers will not need to withdraw funds from their exchange accounts or manually transfer assets to another wallet before making a payment.
When using a Mesh-powered platform, users can select Bybit Pay at checkout or when adding funds to an account. They can then pay using assets already available in their Bybit balance.
The approach is intended to make the transition from holding digital assets to spending them more seamless, particularly as cryptocurrencies and stablecoins become increasingly connected to everyday payment services.
Businesses gain access to Bybit’s global customer base
The arrangement also creates a new opportunity for businesses already using Mesh.
Companies can accept payments from Bybit users through their existing Mesh integration, without having to build a separate connection to the exchange.
For merchants and platforms, this provides access to Bybit’s large international user base while maintaining a payment infrastructure that supports settlement and transactions across markets.
Mesh says its network now connects more than 300 wallets and exchanges, giving businesses a broader way to reach customers holding digital assets across different platforms.
Mesh says users should not have to move money before spending it
Bam Azizi, CEO and co-founder of Mesh, said the partnership addresses a basic problem in the crypto payment experience: users often have to move funds simply because the platform where they hold their assets is different from the platform where they want to spend them.
“Bybit has built one of the most engaged communities in crypto,” Azizi said. “People shouldn’t have to move their money to use it. We bring the network to where the money already is.”
The integration effectively brings Bybit’s balances into Mesh-powered payment experiences, allowing customers to use funds where they are already held.
Bybit Pay looks to broaden its role in payments
Sophie Chen, head of marketing for Bybit Card & Pay, said the partnership supports Bybit’s broader effort to reduce the friction involved in using digital assets for payments.
“Bybit Pay is designed to remove the friction between holding digital assets and using them to pay,” Chen said.
She added that customers can pay directly from their Bybit balances using assets they already hold, while platforms can receive the assets required for their transactions.
According to Bybit, working with Mesh will bring this functionality to a wider range of payment experiences and further position Bybit Pay as a connection between crypto assets and the broader payments ecosystem.
Settlement infrastructure designed for businesses
Beyond simply accepting payments, Bybit Pay offers businesses infrastructure intended to support transactions at scale.
The company said its payment architecture includes quick settlement and programmable settlement options, giving businesses greater flexibility over how and when funds are settled across different markets.
That flexibility could become increasingly important as businesses expand their use of digital assets and stablecoins for cross-border payments and other commercial transactions.
Crypto payments move closer to everyday commerce
The partnership comes as the cryptocurrency industry continues to move beyond trading and investment toward practical payment applications.
For users, one of the challenges has been the fragmentation of digital assets across exchanges, wallets and payment platforms. Integrations such as the Bybit-Mesh arrangement aim to reduce that separation by allowing assets to be used without first being moved between multiple services.
For businesses, the ability to accept payments from customers holding funds on major crypto platforms can potentially widen their customer base without requiring significant changes to their existing payment infrastructure.
Bybit Pay is now available through Mesh
Bybit Pay is available to businesses on Mesh, and platforms already connected to Mesh can enable the service through their existing integration.
The partnership forms part of Bybit Pay’s wider strategy to build connections across the global payments ecosystem and give users more practical ways to use the digital assets they already hold.
