Roseman Bioventures has appointed biotechnology executive Titus Plattel, MSc., MBA, as its new managing director, bringing more than three decades of experience in the life sciences industry to the Nevada-based organization.

Plattel will take responsibility for shaping the strategic direction of Roseman Bioventures (RBV) while leading efforts to expand its operations and strengthen its role as a platform for emerging life science companies.

Plattel Brings Three Decades of Industry Experience

Plattel joins RBV with an extensive background spanning biotechnology leadership, commercial strategy and company development.

Over the course of his career, he has served as both chief executive officer and chief operating officer at several rapidly growing private companies.

His experience also includes strategic and commercial leadership positions with major publicly traded life science companies, including Biogen, Amgen and Bavarian Nordic.

The combination of experience across emerging businesses and established industry players is expected to support RBV’s ambitions as it expands its incubator and venture-building activities.

Leadership Role Covers RBV’s Strategic Expansion

As managing director, Plattel will oversee the organization’s strategic priorities and operational growth.

A key part of his role will be guiding the development of RBV’s 120,000-square-foot research facility, a state-of-the-art life science hub located on the campus of Roseman University.

The facility is designed to provide companies with the infrastructure needed to advance scientific research while creating opportunities for collaboration with investors, industry professionals and other stakeholders.

Incubator Targets Early- and Mid-Stage Companies

RBV operates as a life science incubator focused on helping scientific innovations move from development toward commercialization.

Its model is built around providing early- to mid-stage companies with advanced laboratory facilities, flexible research infrastructure and access to a broader partnership network.

The incubator also connects its resident companies with key industry stakeholders and venture capital resources, giving emerging businesses access to capabilities that can otherwise be difficult to secure during their early stages.

Nevada Provides the Platform for Growth

Roseman Bioventures is positioning Nevada’s business environment as part of its broader strategy to create a capital-efficient base for life science companies.

Through its facilities and partnership ecosystem, RBV aims to help companies shorten the path between scientific discoveries and the development of therapies and technologies designed to improve human health.

RBV Plans to Build Companies Through Venture Studio Model

Beyond its traditional incubator activities, RBV is developing a complementary venture studio model intended to support the creation of life science companies from their earliest stages.

The model will allow RBV to work alongside entrepreneurs and scientists from day one, providing infrastructure and strategic support as new companies are built around promising scientific innovations.

Plattel’s appointment comes as the organization seeks to strengthen both sides of that model, combining incubation capabilities with a more active approach to building and commercializing life science ventures.
