Felicis is strengthening its investment leadership with two changes that expand its focus on founder development, research partnerships and emerging technology talent.

Michelle Delcambre Elevated to General Partner

Menlo Park-based venture capital firm Felicis has promoted Michelle Delcambre to General Partner and Managing Director, giving her responsibility for networks, founder success, and partnerships and programming involving research labs.

Delcambre joined Felicis after holding senior Talent and People leadership roles at major technology companies including Atlassian, Databricks, Okta and Stripe.

Her experience across these organizations positions her to support Felicis’ efforts to help founders build companies while developing the broader networks around its portfolio.

Tony Shi Joins as Partner

Felicis has also appointed Tony Shi as a Partner, adding an investor whose work will center on researchers and student founders emerging from leading laboratories and major research universities.

Shi joins Felicis with previous investment experience at Pear VC, Dorm Room Fund and Redpoint Ventures.

During his career, he backed companies including Hilt and FinRank, giving him experience working with early-stage founders and emerging businesses.

Focus on Frontier Technology and Core Markets

The appointments come as Felicis continues to invest across both established industries undergoing transformation and frontier technologies with the potential to create new markets.

Founded in 2006, the venture capital firm has built its investment strategy around companies seeking to reinvent core markets alongside businesses developing new technologies at the edge of research and innovation.

Felicis Manages More Than $3 Billion

Felicis currently manages more than $3 billion in capital across nine funds.

The firm also operates a Founder Development pledge designed to provide founders with resources aimed at helping them scale themselves alongside their businesses.

The addition of Shi and Delcambre’s promotion broaden the firm’s investment and founder-support capabilities, particularly around talent networks, research communities and the next generation of technology entrepreneurs.
