Tiphaine Auziere, the daughter of Brigitte Macron, has strongly criticized right-wing conspiracy theorists for spreading baseless rumors about her mother.
Auziere, who was only ten years old when she learned about her mother’s relationship with a younger pupil, emphasized the harm caused by unfounded allegations and praised her mother’s decision to take legal action against the misinformation.
Support for Legal Action
Last year, Brigitte Macron successfully won a libel case against a freelance journalist who propagated the false claim that she was not born a woman.
Auziere commended her mother’s resolve in seeking legal recourse to combat the damaging effects of online misinformation.
She stressed the importance of legal intervention in such instances to uphold truth and accountability.

Auziere also lauded Kate Middleton for her dignified handling of public pressure regarding her recent surgery.
She expressed admiration for Middleton’s courage in addressing the speculation surrounding her medical treatment and emphasized the need to respect individuals’ privacy amid intrusive public scrutiny.
Condemnation of Transgender Rumors
Auziere expressed dismay at the spread of transgender rumors targeting her mother, branding such allegations as “grotesque” and equivalent to absurd conspiracy theories.
She highlighted the need for legal mechanisms to address and condemn such behavior both nationally and internationally, emphasizing the societal harm caused by false narratives.
Presidential Support and Rebuttal
French President Emmanuel Macron joined the conversation, condemning the false rumors about his wife on International Women’s Day.
He expressed frustration at the proliferation of fabricated scenarios and emphasized the detrimental impact of misinformation, even on private matters.
Macron’s public statement reaffirmed his support for Brigitte Macron while denouncing the spread of false narratives.
