Bride-to-be loses husband to malaria on wedding day
A bride-to-be in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria has cried out in pain after losing her husband-to-be to malaria on their wedding day. The bride, who is on Facebook as Lizzydamsel Etim, took to the platform to cry out upon losing her husband.
Hospital refused to treat husband
According to her, her husband complained of headache and on getting to the hospital, he was diagnosed with malaria but the hospital refused to treat him and eventually he lost his life.
Bride kept away from visitors
A friend of the bride, who also shared the news on her Facebook page, posted some screenshots of her chat with the lady who informed her of the tragedy.
The bride also informed her friend that she was kept away and they didn’t want people to visit her, which might be a tradition for mourners in Akwa Ibom.
Wedding day becomes burial date
The wedding date which was originally slated for the 11th of November has now become the new burial date for the husband.
