The presence of at least an excellent Second Class Degree with a minimum of 3.5 and 3.00 on a 5.00 CGPA points scale is required for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy and Master’s degree programs in Biomedical Engineering Technology. A Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) is defined as a degree in Engineering, Medicine, Biosciences/Health Sciences, Computer Science, or any other relevant science job with a CGPA of less than 3.00 on a 5.00 scale from a reputable degree issuing institution. Those holding an HND in a relevant discipline are also considered for admission to the PGD program.
Candidates must have earned five credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or any relevant science subject at the O level level in no more than two sittings.

Master Degree/Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes:
- Full-time minimum of (3) semesters and a maximum of (6) semesters
- Part-time minimum of (4) semesters and a maximum of (8) semesters
