APC Urges National Assembly to Strengthen Collaboration with Executive for Effective Governance

Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the party’s national chairman, emphasized that this cooperation is crucial and aligns with the expectations of the Nigerian people.

Call for Governance Over Political Contests

During a Sallah visit to Adamu’s residence in Keffi, Nasarawa State, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the charge for enhanced collaboration was made.

Adamu highlighted that the time for political contests has ended, and the focus should now be on effective governance.


Importance of Effective Partnership

Adamu underscored the significance of a strong partnership between the legislature and the executive.

He congratulated Akpabio and his deputy on their emergence as President and Deputy President of the Senate, respectively, expressing relief for the party.

Adamu emphasized that the Legislature and the Executive must work together in harmony for the peace and development of the country, as expected by Nigerians.

Sallah Homage and Acknowledgement

Akpabio, in his statement, expressed gratitude and paid Sallah homage to Senator Adamu, referring to him as a man of honor.

He thanked the leadership of the party and the National Working Committee (NWC) for their role in the success of the National Assembly leadership elections.


Akpabio also praised Adamu’s contributions to the development of the youth in the country and expressed the commitment of the 10th National Assembly to support the administration led by President Bola Tinubu.
