Adele interrupts her performance in Las Vegas to reprimand a security guard for arguing with a fan who was “standing up” at his seat: Why are you all bothering him’ ?

Adele has halted her Las Vegas concert to address a situation where a security guard was seen interacting with a male fan who had stood up from his seat in the audience. The 35-year-old singer paused her performance of the hit song “Water Under the Bridge” on August 26 to intervene. She expressed her concern for the fan and questioned the security guard’s actions.

In a video of the incident, Adele can be heard addressing the security guard and asking about the fan’s situation. Despite the loud cheering of the crowd, Adele persisted, urging the guard to leave the fan alone. She voiced her displeasure, saying, “Why are you all bothering him? Can you leave [the fan] alone, please? They won’t bother you anymore, darling. You enjoy the show. Leave him alone.”

Adele’s defense of the fan garnered cheers and applause from the audience. After addressing the situation, she resumed the show, restarting the song “Water Under the Bridge” from the beginning. Clips of Adele’s actions quickly circulated on social media platforms, with fans praising her for standing up for the fan’s rights.

This incident is not the first time a well-known artist has intervened in such a scenario. In May, Taylor Swift also stopped a performance during her “Eras Tour” in Philadelphia to protect a fan from a security guard who was being overly aggressive.

Adele’s Las Vegas concert on August 26 is part of her “Weekends with Adele” residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, which began in November 2022 and is scheduled to run until November 2023. The residency consists of a series of Friday and Saturday night shows, marking Adele’s first-ever Las Vegas Concert Residency.
