Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been pictured spending time with his niece and nephew in a series of family photographs shared by his older brother, Luke Rodgers, on Instagram on Sunday.

Luke, 44, posted a carousel of images showing the 42-year-old NFL star enjoying time with relatives at home and visiting Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

“Last weekend was pretty special,” Luke wrote in the caption, adding black and gold heart emojis in reference to the Steelers’ team colours.

Aaron also commented on the post, writing: “Planes, trains, and renegade! [heart emojis] also misspelled cakes”.

Steelers Quarterback Takes Family to Acrisure Stadium

Some of the photographs showed Aaron spending time with his niece and nephew during Pittsburgh’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

In one image, the quarterback crouched on the field beside the children, who were wearing black-and-gold rain ponchos. Another showed him kneeling on the sideline and speaking with his niece while family members stood behind the team bench.

Other pictures captured the NFL veteran relaxing at home and embracing his niece on a sofa. Luke’s wife, Aimee, and their son were also featured in the family moments.

Luke and Aimee welcomed their third child, a daughter, in August.

Family Reunion Follows Years of Estrangement

The photographs mark another public indication that Aaron’s relationship with his family has improved after years of estrangement.

The family rift became widely known in 2016 when Aaron’s younger brother, Jordan Rodgers, discussed their relationship during his appearance on the reality television programme The Bachelorette.

Jordan revealed that the NFL quarterback had distanced himself from the family, bringing their private difficulties into the public spotlight.

Aaron later addressed the attention surrounding the dispute in his 2024 Netflix documentary series, expressing regret over the way personal family matters had been discussed publicly.

Aaron Rodgers Previously Shared Signs of Reconciliation

Aaron offered an earlier indication that relations with Luke had improved in July, when he shared photographs of himself helping his older brother assemble toys for the children.

The latest family gathering follows comments Aaron made last month on Cam Heyward’s podcast, where he confirmed that the brothers had reconciled.

Reflecting on his previous position, Aaron said: “A year ago, even two years ago, five years ago for sure, I would have said, ‘Nah, I’m never going to reconcile.’”

Quarterback Credits Wife With Changing His Outlook

Aaron credited his wife, Brittani, whom he married in 2025, with helping change his perspective on love and encouraging him to reconsider reconciliation with his family.

The latest photographs show the quarterback spending time with relatives both at home and at the Steelers’ stadium, providing another public glimpse of the family’s renewed connection.
