Cameron Bancroft and Daniel Sams hospitalized after brutal collision during Big Bash League match in Sydney

In a shocking incident during a Big Bash League match on Friday, Australian cricketers Cameron Bancroft and Daniel Sams were left seriously injured after a brutal on-field collision while trying to catch the same ball.

The Injury Scare

Bancroft and Sams were both knocked unconscious after their heads collided in a desperate attempt to catch the ball during the match between Sydney Thunder and Perth Scorchers.

The accident left both players lying motionless on the ground, and immediate medical attention was required.

Bancroft, known for his role as an opening batsman, suffered a fractured nose and a broken right scapula, in addition to a concussion.

Despite the severity of the injuries, Bancroft was able to walk off the field with blood streaming from his nose.

Sams’ Condition

Sams, who has played 10 T20 matches for Australia, was in a worse condition and had to be stretchered off the field after the clash.

The 32-year-old was also concussed, and both players were rushed to the hospital for further treatment.

Bancroft’s BBL Season Comes to a Close

Unfortunately for Bancroft, his Big Bash League season has come to an abrupt end.
